If you are a picky eater and feel like you’ve been rushing through your life missing out on all the magic going on around you, you are in for a special treat with this episode of Cabernet and Kale.

So, let me ask you, are you a picky eater? Can you count the items of foods that you would eat on one hand?

If you said yes, you’re not alone!

Here’s the thing: As we get older, grow and change so do our ideas, the way we eat, our taste buds, and our willingness to re-explore those foods that we’re once on the NO GO list.

Trust me, I use to be a picky eater, and when I say I use to be a picky eater I’m not kidding; if it wasn’t chicken, cheese or potatoes I wasn’t eating it.

Mushrooms were definitely one of those foods that were on my NO GO list of foods to eat.

But, after learning more about food, swapping out white sugar for more natural sugars, discovering a love for cooking, and pregnancy cravings, I was able to revisit some of those no go foods like Mushrooms and discovered that I liked them.

Did you catch that last part? I LIKE mushrooms? Now, you might be wondering what that has to do with mindfulness, but I assure you I had to be willing to re-explore and step outside of my PAST experience, which was that I didn’t like Mushrooms to discover the truth.
